CTA: March 2007 update
There is some good news from the CTA. It seems they are trying to hold airlines accountable. In a document from March 2007, Decision No. 153-C-A-2007, the Agency asks Air Canada to:
“…within sixty (60) days from the date of this Decision, amend its tariff to make it clear that Air Canada does not limit its liability with respect to direct damages or in cases of gross negligence or intentional fault of the carrier or its agents…”
In other words, the airline carrier would not be free from liability or blame where it or its agents are grossly negligent.
